Jamoma installation on a Mac

Installation


1 - install a subversion (svn) client

To install Jamoma, you first must install a subversion (svn) client. You can download the one from martinott.

2- create folder where you wanna put Jamoma

3- download Jamoma

Using Terminal.app (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app), type the command line:
svn checkout https://jamoma.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/jamoma/branches/active Jamoma

4- declare the Jamoma path in the Max preferences path.

5- move file

Move jamoma-overview.mxt file from Jamoma/documentation to MaxMSP/patches/extras


Upgrade


There are 3 ways to upgrade Jamoma. After having run svn with the Terminal once, this is possible to avoid using it.

Using contextual menus in the Finder

Install Subversion SCPlugin

Using a GUI application

Install Svnx
