This page contains a number of patches and test cases used to monitoring efficiency etc.


File endings and load time

Both files should be saved in the search path.

Instructions for use:
  • Open FileEndings?.mxt and click the ubutton.
  • Use a text editor to replace jmod.init with jmod.init.mxt or vica versa in FileEndingsSub?.mxt to see what difference it makes for the patch to load with and without file endings.
On a Mac G4 1GHz running Max 4.6 loadtimes were found to be
  • 1464 ms with file endings
  • 2248 ms without file endings
